Funeral services for Barbara Shellenberger, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Okla., with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating.
Burial will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. Family visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shellenberger died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, in Ardmore.
She was born June 17, 1930, in Wilson, Okla., to F.T. “Jack” and Nan Allen Hughes.
She married E. Earl Shellenberger Jr. on Aug. 12, 1949, in Ardmore. She returned there in January 1981, having previously lived in Cortez, Colo., Gillette and Monahans, Texas. She worked as a bank teller, bookkeeper, and a homemaker.
She enjoyed fellowship with her church family, spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, shopping, baking pies, plus attending parties and reunions. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a generous and giving woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, F.T. and Nan Hughes; husband, E. Earl Shellenberger; brothers Leonard and Harold; one nephew and one niece.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Shellenberger of Ardmore; sister, Marie O’Dell of Wilson, Okla., two nieces and four nephews, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
