DRUNKEN DRIVING
HARVEY E. FLACK, 50, 700 S. Emerson, was found guilty Nov. 15 of three counts of driving while under the influence of alcohol, one from May 7, one from April 30, and one from June 4. He also was found guilty of two counts of failing to give aid from the April 30 incident. Counts of failing to wear a seat belt, have auto insurance, and yielding a right of way from that incident were dismissed. Circuit Judge Terrill R. Tharp sentenced him to 180 days in jail on each DUI (all but 19 days suspended), fined him a total of $3,410 and ordered him to pay restitution of $250 to a Gillette woman. Tharp also placed him on four years of supervised probation.
CHRISTOPHER P. FRIELING, 27, 75 Sierra Drive, was sentenced Nov. 16 to 120 days in jail (75 days suspended, credit for 20 days served) for DUI, his second within 10 years. Circuit Judge Wendy M. Bartlett also fined him $740 and placed him on 18 months of supervised probation.
SHAWN L. COTA, 38, 1409 Heather Court, was sentenced Nov. 13 to 90 days in jail (83 days suspended, credit for three days served) for DUI, his second offense within 10 years. Bartlett also fined him $740 and placed him on one year of unsupervised probation.
SHAWN P. MILLER, 37, 925 W. Warlow #22, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (credit for 60 days served) on Nov. 14 for DUI, his second offense within 10 years.
JAMES M. WILSON, 55, 922 E. Third St. #122, was found guilty Nov. 13 of DUI. Tharp sentenced him to 30 days in jail (29 days suspended, credit for one day served), fined him $590 and placed him on six months of unsupervised probation. He also was fined $70 for a lane violation.
KELLEN WEST ABEL, 29, 300 Rohan #9, was found guilty Nov. 15 of DUI. Tharp sentenced him to 60 days in jail (46 days suspended, credit for one day served), fined him $710 and placed him on one year of unsupervised probation.
JOHN M. KNIPPERS, 40, Wichita, Kan., was found guilty Nov. 14 of DUI. Bartlett sentenced him to 45 days in jail (44 days suspended, credit for one day served), fined him $590 and placed him on six months of unsupervised probation.
TRAVIS SCOTT GLADSON, 39, Rozet, was found guilty Nov. 16 of DUI. Tharp sentenced him to 45 days in jail (all suspended), fined him $590 and placed him on one year of unsupervised probation. A seat belt violation was dismissed.
OTIS E. ELDRIDGE II, 39, 412 Tonk, was found guilty Nov. 16 of DUI. Tharp sentenced him to 30 days in jail (28 days suspended, credit for two days served), fined him $690 and placed him on six months of unsupervised probation. He also was sentenced to two days in jail (already served), and fined $440 for breach of peace.

Fines include any order to pay court costs, a contribution to the Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund and attorney fees.
