David A. Palcic, 71, of Gillette died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, of complications from heart surgery.
At his request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place, and burial will be at a later date.
He was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Colorado.
He married Marvell Nelson on April 8, 1966, and their only daughter, Melissa was born in 1973.
Moving from Colorado to Gillette in 1977, where he worked as a sergeant for the Gillette Police Department for six years. After that, he worked for the Campbell County School District as a mail dispatcher until his retirement in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of Gillette and his daughter of Castle Rock, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister.
