Future of DIA’s blue horse in question

DENVER — The fate of the big blue horse at Denver International Airport is up for debate.
On Monday the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs and City Art representatives will discuss whether to keep the statue or put it out to pasture.
The contract has expired for the 32-foot tall piece of public art, which some people love and others hate, especially its glowing red eyes at night.
The horse was purchased for $600,000 and is now valued at nearly $2 million.
