From the oct. 10, 1918 Campbell County Record:
Come and see a demonstration of the long looked for tractor, built by Henry Ford, that will be given in Gillette. For years the Motor World has been on tip toe awaiting the final perfection of Henry Ford’s farm tractor. A truck will leave City Hall every 30 minutes during each demonstration. It is at your service and will take you out to the grounds and bring you back. You have waited for this opportunity. It is now yours. Bring the wife and kiddies and see how you may cut expenses, increase acreage and yield. Make it a holiday.
From the Nov. 26, 1953 News Record:
Mrs. Owen Goerke of this city has just received a letter from her son, Norman Turnbough, who landed at Weierhof, Kaserne, Germany, where he will be stationed. He mentioned that they were about 150 miles from Frankfort, Germany. He reports it is odd to see a horse and cow hitched together for a team, and up to the present time has not seen a team of horses or any tractors.
From the Nov. 6, 1969 News Record:
The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission announced that the North Big Horn Elk Area No. 9 will be extended from Nov. 1 through Nov. 15, 1969. The area will be open for the hunting of antlered elk and for the hunting of elk of either sex to the holders of unused North Big Horn Special permits. The extension was necessitated by inadequate harvest of elk during the regular season.

“Like it or not, there is going to be a change.” These are the words of the guest speaker at the 18th annual Campbell County Chamber of Commerce Banquet and meeting last Friday night. Hiram E. Bond, a vice president of Atlantic Richfield Company, spoke quietly for about 20 minutes, and his audience listened carefully to every word about this nation’s energy crisis.
