JACKSON— Jackson’s indoor soccer league has suspended play through the end of the year after a player was critically injured in a game last week.
Nicolas Izard, 32, suffered brain damage after hitting a concrete wall during a game at Jackson’s recreation center on Thursday.
He was initially treated at St. John’s Medical Center and then flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Izard is married and the father of a young daughter.
In a statement, town officials said they’ll talk to players about whether they want to continue playing and also evaluate the program.
