James A. Walsh, 82, formerly of Rochester, N.Y., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, of natural causes at his home in Gillette.

Mr. Walsh was born Jan. 1, 1931, in Rochester to Michael and Agnes (Shanahan) Walsh. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a lifelong member of Local 13 as a pipefitter. He loved Wyoming’s outdoors, was an avid golfer, and a lifelong fan of Notre Dame, “his fighting Irish.”

Mr. Walsh is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen Walsh; sister, Mary Belluci of South Carolina; children, Eileen Day of Gillette, Michael Walsh of Petaluma, Calif., Daniel Walsh of Rochester, Beth Lockwood of Hilton, N.Y., and Patti McEntee of Reno, Nev.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John, Patrick and Jerome.
