Funeral services for June Rogers, 87, of Gillette, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Gillette Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. George Moore of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Gillette Memorial Chapel. June Rogers passed away Feb. 9, 2013, at Pioneer Manor.
Mamie June was born on June 22, 1925, the daughter of Bart and Violet (Holt) Meeker. She was raised and educated in Ohio. Upon the completion of her schooling, she married Robert F. Rogers on Aug. 12, 1940. at Celina, Ohio. The couple resided in Ohio until moving to Wyoming in 1960, residing in the Gillette area including Moorcroft and Rozet ever since. June’s priority was her family; she was a proud homemaker and rancher’s wife.
June was a member of T.O.P.S. and enjoyed crocheting and gardening both flowers and produce. She especially enjoyed family gatherings.
She is survived by her son Ralph (Laura) Rogers of Gillette; daughters, Cheri (Ron) Mooney of Gillette, Lu (Bob) Gilroy, Patty (Lester) Case both of Rozet, Betty (Keith) Troll of Arvada and Robin (Ken) Conway of Nebraska; brother, Ronald Pflug of Arizona; sister, Irene Boylan of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Carol Doney, Bobbie Jean Fleak, Lester J. Case, Randy Case, Cody Case, Kevin Case, James Mooney, Ron D. Mooney Jr., Nova Lee Mooney, Zachary Rogers, Dusty Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Johny Spencer, Shawna Newby and Gregory Newby.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Robert Richard Rogers.
