Mass of the Christian Burial for Marcus Bahige, infant son of Bertine and Amanda (Hays) Bahige, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyo., with Father Cliff Jacobson as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, with a vigil to follow at 7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette.

Marcus Daniel Bahige was born May 1, 2012, in Gillette, Wyo.

Marcus passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. His family was blessed to have nearly eight months of beautiful, happy memories.

Marcus loved and adored his big sister Gigi. He spent his time following her with his eyes, and more recently, crawling after her. Marcus had a big, bright smile with two teeth, and never failed to return a smile, even to a stranger.

He loved watching soccer and football with his daddy, and had a soft spot for his mommy — bouncing with excitement every time she entered the room.

He spent his days in the loving arms of his grandma, who watched him while his parents were working. Marcus loved being in the car, and one of his family’s favorite memories is a road trip to Oregon and Washington with his parents, sister and Uncle Andrew.

Marcus is survived by his parents; his sister, Giselle “Gigi” Bahige; aunts, Angela (Kelton) Claggett, Melanie and Alli Hays; uncles, Andrew and Timmy Hays; maternal grandparents, Dan and Wendy Hays; maternal great-grandparents, John and Evelyn Rothleutner, and Bill and Verna Hays, all of Gillette; paternal grandparents, Galen and Delia Careym and uncles Joaquine and Fidel Carey of Columbia, Md.; paternal great-grandparents, Bob and Althea Carey of Abilene, Kan.; and a host of extended family who thought the world of him.

Memorials and condolences may be sent in Marcus’s name in care of Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716. Condolences may also be sent via the website www.walkerfuneralhome.com.

To the Bahige family, I don't know you but I know the pain you are feeling. I lost a daughter about the same age. You are in my prayers and I pray you will find solace in the knowledge that your beautiful little one will find many loving arms awaiting him in heaven. You will meet again someday and until then may you have the strength and faith to continue on.
