Ronald E. Wilson, 63, of Carrollton, Ky., formerly of Gillette, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at his home in Carrollton of leukemia.
Graveside services were Nov. 19, 2012, at the Worthville Cemetery in Worthville, Ky. Sandy Riley Funeral Home was in charge of services.
He was born Dec. 19, 1948, to Joseph and Helen Wilson. He was in the Army, serving in Germany and Vietnam. After his discharge, he held numerous jobs, but the one he loved the most was umpiring. He umpired for all kinds of sports, but he loved Little League baseball most.
He is survived by his two daughters, Helen Griffin and Susan Garcia, both of Carrollton.; sisters, Shirley Stattee of Muskogee, Okla., and Sandy Taylor of Gillette; brothers, Joseph Wilson and David Wilson; half-siblings, Tim Wilson, Kimberly Kopp, Oneida Ros, and Danielle Chadwell, all of Carrollton; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Marcella Wilson; and a nephew.
