Sylvia “Arlene” Childress Kluz, 76, of Sheridan passed away on Saturday, Nove. 24, 2012, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Arlene was born on Jan. 25, 1936, to Ruth and Earl Childress in Sheridan, Wyo. She graduated from Sheridan High School. She married Tony Kluz on Oct. 10, 1959, and had two sons: Tony Kluz Jr. and John Kluz.
Arlene went to work for Mountain Bell in 1968. They moved to Billings in 1970 were she continued to work for Mountain Bell until her retirement. She and Tony then moved back to Sheridan to take care of her mother until Ruth’s passing.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ruth Childress, and son, Tony Kluz Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Tony of 53 years, sons; Jim Ballard of Lexington, Ky., and John Kluz of Gillette, Wyo., sister Nancy O’Nell, four granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations in honor of Arlene be made to the Sheridan Senior Center at 211 Smith St., Sheridan, WY 82801
A visitation for Arlene will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Kane Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Kane Funeral Home with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Burial will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Eagle’s in the Industrial Park.
