Utah city files assault charge against coach

PAYSON — The city of Payson has filed a misdemeanor assault charge against a volunteer youth football coach accused of knocking down an opposing player and giving him a concussion last month.
The Utah County Attorney’s Office had already declined to press charges against 38-year-old Nathan Harris of Mapleton. But the city had filed one misdemeanor count of assault.
