Wright basketball teams drop opening games at regionals

Wright's high school boys basketball team dropped its first game at the Class 2A East Regional tournament Thursday.
The Panthers fell to top-ranked Southeast seed Lusk (Niobrara County) 69-47.
That's knocked Wright into the consolation bracket.
The Panthers will face Burns at 8:30 a.m. Friday in a loser-out game at Tongue River High School in Dayton.
Wright's girls basketball team also faced Lusk on Friday evening and met the same fate, losing 32-28. The girls will play in a loser-out game at 1 p.m. Friday.
