CASPER, Wyo. — An inmate at the Natrona County jail has died after being found unconscious in his cell.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports 47-year-old Roger Dale Carter, of Casper, died after being taken to a hospital after officials found him Tuesday morning.
Sheriff's Lt. Gus Holbrook says there is no indication of foul play. Authorities say there was no indication Carter was having any problems when he ate breakfast less than an hour before he was found unresponsive.
Carter had been serving a 19-day sentence that began Sunday for failing to comply and pay fines following an earlier drug possession conviction.
